Return Policy

As a nonprofit animal welfare organization, the Humane Society of Northwest Georgia (HSNWGA) has return policies that differ from traditional retail businesses.

Donations

All donations—monetary, supplies, or in-kind—are non-refundable. If a donation was made in error, please contact us for review.

Adoption Fees

Adoption fees are generally non-refundable, as they support the care of animals in our shelter. Refund requests may be considered only in exceptional circumstances at HSNWGA’s discretion.

Returning an Adopted Animal

  • Contact HSNWGA to arrange a return.
  • Returns depend on available space and the animal’s condition.
  • A surrender appointment may be required.
  • Adoption fees are not refunded.

Merchandise (If Applicable)

  • Unused items in original condition may be returned within 30 days.
  • Custom or clearance items are non-returnable.
  • Shipping costs are non-refundable.
